The Theatre of Two-Headed Calf in 33rd Street
The Theatre of a Two-Headed Calf performed the most recent excerpt of We Cannot Be Called Our Mother But Our Graves, based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth and part of the Soho Rep Studio, in Industry City August 22nd and 23rd, 2008.
The Company was founded in 1999 by director Brooke O’Harra and composer Brendan Connelly, in New Orleans. Since 2002, they have been a resident company at La MaMa, E.T.C. in New York where they created to works by Stanislav Ignacy Witkiewicz (Tumor Brainiowicz and The Mother), The Life and Death of Tom Thumb the Great and in 2005, Major Barbara. Their work has also been produced by the HERE Arts Center, PS 122, Chashama, and the Perishable Theater.
They received an Obie Award in 2008, as did Heidi Schreck for her performance in Drum of he Waves of Horikawa.
