Meet 11 of Brooklyn’s Top Furniture Designers

Over the last several years, I’ve met some of Brooklyn’s top furniture makers at BKLYN DESIGNS, the annual design fair in DUMBO. These folks design and create some of the best furniture in America, right here in Brooklyn.

They inform the Industry City Creative Workspaces ethic and show us what we need to do to add value to our own work.

Coming out of diverse backgrounds ranging from education, to cooking, to architecture and graphic design, the people behind these companies lead the way to Brooklyn’s manufacturing future.

The piece shown above was designed by Jonah Zuckerman, owner of City Joinery and provider of this photo.

It looks a simple design but we can see its creativity and effort on how they work on designing this bed. I guess it is comfortable to rest and sleep there.

Finding great quality furniture with great designs is so hard and also with a fair price, everywhere you turn these days it is all ugly and terrible furniture, but i have seen some creation from each one of these designers and they are really great, also i would add Ashley Furniture Customer Service they have special prices too

Susan Woods' designs were featured in a bridal magazine last June, and her works were both fashion forward and efficient, ideal for a large family or even bachelors.

I always prefer designs of Stand41rd. But the design of this bed is also very nice. It is one of the most beautiful design of modern furniture.

I personally like Scott Braun even though furniture are expensive but the quality is very good.

Jonah Zuckerman? I don't know him but I like his work that bed is lovely.. Well, I love modern furniture's I doesn't like antique furniture's they are weird.
